Fixed first: Basic size of saw blade (cannot be installed/used if selected incorrectly)
1. Outer diameter D
Must be ≤ the maximum allowable saw blade diameter of your circular saw machine
Small models: φ 250/φ 285/φ 300
Medium sized models: φ 350/φ 360/φ 400
Large models: φ 420/φ 450/φ 500
The larger the outer diameter, the larger the cross-sectional area that can be cut, but the requirements for spindle torque and rigidity are higher.
2. Inner hole d
Strictly match the spindle diameter, common:
27mm / 30mm / 32mm / 40mm / 50mm
Loose inner holes can cause the saw blade to jump, the cutting surface to be skewed, and the teeth to break.
3. Thickness of saw blade
Universal: 1.8-2.5mm (low resistance, energy-saving, material saving)
Cutting large section/hard steel/stainless steel: 2.5~3.0mm (good rigidity, not easy to swing the knife)
The thinner, the higher the efficiency, but the easier it is to deform and break teeth.
How to choose TCT tungsten steel saw blade core? (Tooth shape+blade head+coating)
1. Tooth shape selection (directly determines the quality of the cutting surface and whether there will be edge breakage)
| Teeth | Suitable cutting Material | Features |
| Left and right staggered | solid round steel, square steel, thick walled profiles, and carbon steel | good chip removal, fast cutting, and the strongest universality |
| T Ladder flat tooth | thin-walled tube, square tube, rectangular tube | anti collapse mouth, anti deformation, flat cutting surface, without clamping saw |
| Flat/coarse tooth | large section hard steel, alloy steel, stainless steel thick material impact resistance | not easy to break teeth, suitable for heavy cutting |
| Chamfered teeth | stainless steel | smooth and burr free cutting surfaces |
2.cutter head material
General carbon steel: ordinary hard alloy blade is sufficient
Stainless steel 304/316, mold steel: must use ultra-fine grain hard alloy, high temperature resistance, wear resistance
Copper/Aluminum: Use low friction alloy teeth to avoid sticking to the blade
3. Coating (determining lifespan and whether to burn)
TiN (gold): universal carbon steel, high cost-effectiveness
TiCN (gray black): better wear resistance, suitable for alloy steel
AlTiN/TiAlN (purple black): specifically designed for stainless steel, with the strongest high-temperature resistance
No coating: only suitable for low carbon steel, small batch, light cutting
3、 How to choose the number of teeth? (Most importantly, provide empirical rules directly)
core principle
The larger the cross-section of the material, the fewer teeth it has
The harder the material (stainless steel>carbon steel>aluminum) → the fewer teeth
Thin walled tube/requires smooth cutting surface → excessive number of teeth
Pursuing speed and rough cutting → having fewer teeth
Too many teeth: poor chip removal, overheating and burning, high resistance, and stuffiness
Too few teeth: rough cutting surface, large burrs, and high vibration
Directly available: Recommended comparison table for tooth count (universal for high-speed metal circular saw machines)
1) Solid round steel (carbon steel/45 steel, etc.)
| Cutting Dia. | Teeth |
| Φ10~Φ20 | 70~90T |
| Φ20~Φ40 | 60~72T |
| Φ40~Φ70 | 48~60T |
| >Φ70 | 36~48T |
Thin walled pipe (wall thickness<3mm)
Square tube/round tube/profile
Small cross-section: 80-120T ladder flat teeth
Medium cross-section: 60-80T ladder flat teeth
Purpose: To prevent edge collapse, prevent flattening, and ensure a smooth cutting surface
3) Thick walled pipes/profiles (wall thickness ≥ 3mm)
Medium and small cross-section: 60-72T
Large section: 48~60T
4) Stainless steel 304/316 (the most difficult to cut)
Stainless steel is prone to sticking to knives and burning teeth, so the number of teeth must be relatively small
Φ10~Φ30:60~72T
Φ30~Φ60:48~60T
Above Φ 60: 36~48T
Combination: AlTiN coating+flat/coarse teeth
5) Nonferrous metals such as copper, aluminum, brass, etc
Small section: 80~100T
Large section: 60-80T
Features: The number of teeth can be too many, which is not easy to burn, but it needs to prevent sticking of the knife
